My husband and I have been married for 35 years, and we Baby Boomers were engaged for two before we married.  We got engaged over the Christmas holidays.  It really wasn’t a surprise, as we had picked out my diamond engagement ring together.  My oldest daughter and her husband became engaged at a Yankees game in the old Yankee Stadium.
